You know that you could do more with your life but you do not have the time to get your college degree what with the blue collar job that you have come to rely on as a source of a steady stream of income.  But, let’s face it.  Your ticket to a better life is actually a good education that could get you to better, higher paying jobs.  You do not have to settle for the level of education you have reached now.  You also do not have to even remotely consider staying in the same crummy job for the rest of your life.  There are ways for you to upgrade yourself.  For starters, go out and get the education that you need to succeed in today’s competitive world.  Don’t worry.  You do not have to quit your job and live on pennies while you are studying.  Luckily for you, you can earn your degree though online universities and colleges.  Degree programs in most fields of expertise are available in a lot of these online universities and colleges.  Degree programs in accounting, marketing, business management, finance, journalism, and psychology among others could be earned through online facilities.  Even trade degrees like carpentry, fire science, and masonry could be earned online.  These trade degrees, however, would have to be completed in combination with a number of hours of practical work or apprenticeship.

If you want to check out these online universities and colleges’ degree programs, you can just a do a search on any search engine.  Find out first if the online universities and colleges’ degree programs are accredited before signing up for anything.  While a lot of the country’s top educational institutions already have online educational facilities, there are a number of online educational facilities that are not considered to be at par with the standards set by the academic community and are therefore not recognized as valid educational credit equivalent for completing on-campus degree courses.  As these online degrees are gaining more acceptance among higher educational institutions and employers, getting these degrees online are fast becoming appealing options for those who wish to continue their studies without having to worry about class schedules and transportation costs.
